Access Control Systems

Access control systems are a vital role in keeping buildings secure, therefore designed and installed to the relevant code of Practice is aligned with the current Access Control System standard BS EN 60839-11-1 and application guidelines BS EN 60839-11-2. These standards help keep building safe and secure, via several methods.

Sheriff Group can advise of many solutions to help fit the building requirements. Many solutions can integrate speed gates and lift control making this system adaptable to almost any buildings.

Sheriff Group can work on most access control systems from Paxton, ASSA Abloy and C Cure to name a few.

Intercom Systems

Intercom systems allow the building to have control over visitors coming into the building via a 2way communication system, which can be Audio Only, or video based.

This system can be2-wire or IP depending on the age of the building or whether a new install.

Intercom systems can be integrated into the access control system to allow remote control of doors such as the front door, or a vehicle gate.

Within the intercom system, they may also have GSM Modules which allow remote calling to open a vehicle gate.

CCTV Systems

CCTV Systems are vital in the role of security for a building. CCTV systems serve as a preventive measure but also record the incident if anything does happen.

This gives people within the building peace of mind if something does happen then the footage can be used for persecution if required.

CCTV systems can be set up to use analytics to help identify people, vehicles and movement, so CCTV Controllers can be alerted to an issue rather than relying on screen watching multiple screens.

Intruder Alarm System

Intruder alarms are used to secure buildings whether they are residential or commercial. Intruder alarms allow buildings to be monitored whether an active site or remote sites.

These systems can be monitored by an APP on a mobile phone or via an ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) to provide the correct response to the incident. This may be a keyholder, mobile security company or emergency services.

An intruder alarm system can be a range of devices on the system to help detect an intruder, such as Door Contact or Passive Infrared Sensors.

They will also house External bell boxes which are normally branded with the maintenance company name. They can also have a perimeter detection infrared sensor on the external fencing or perimeter to help keep the entire site secure.

Can you provide Monitoring of our security systems?
Answer: The simple answer is yes, we work closely with Southern monitoring and EMCS. These are our alarm-receiving centres of choice.
Can you provide an emergency callout?
Answer: We offer 24/7 365 days year callout to contractual clients, we also offer proforma callouts to non-contractual clients.
How often should I book an inspection?
Answer: Depending on the size of the system, complexation of the system this range from monthly to Bi-Annual (6 Monthly). The minimum requirements is Bi-Annual.
What areas do you cover?
Answer: Sheriff Group cover Essex, Kent, Suffolk, East of England, Southeast, and London. Sheriff Group does have some national clients, so even if you are not in the area above, please don’t hesitate to contact us as we will still be able to help.
What qualifications of our engineers have?
