PAVA

Sheriff Group is a market leader in providing PAVA (Public Announcement and Voice Alarm) with the ability to work on a diverse range of systems and products, these include Baldwin Boxall, Honeywell D1 and ACL. PAVA systems must meet certain standards regarding equipment, design, installation, and operation. PAVA systems are required once a building is of a certain height or quantity of public people are unfamiliar with the surroundings. PAVA Systems have capabilities to deliver clear and concise pre-recorded messages, but also the ability to live speak in emergency situations.

Emergency Voice Communication Systems

Sheriff Group is a market leader in providing EVCS (Emergency Voice Communication System) with the ability to work on a diverse range of systems and products, these include Baldwin Boxall, Vox Ignis and Cameo. EVCS systems must meet certain standards regarding equipment, design, installation, and operation. EVCS systems are required once a building is of a certain height determined by building regulations approved document B).

Fire Risk Assessments

Sheriff Group can offer all types of fire risk assessments from type1 and type 4. Under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. This requires that any commercial building with more than 5 occupants. Whether an office, shop, hotel, or shared accommodations. Must ensure an FRA (Fire Risk Assessment) has been carried out by a competent person and is reviewed regularly.

Whether you already have an FRA in place and need this updating, or currently do not have one in place and require an FRA. Sheriff Group can help with this, using our highly skilled and experienced fire risk assessors.

Life Safety System Service & Maintenance

Sheriff Group offers a complete service and maintenance package. This gives our clients peace of mind that their systems are being maintained in accordance with BS5839-1, BS5839-6 and BS5839-9. Sheriff Group can maintain all life safety systems whether open protocol, Closed or managed protocol. Not only is it a legal requirement to have all life safety systems maintained and kept in working order. It also allows them to continue to operate safely and company with all British Standards.

Under Sheriff Group’s Service and maintenance package, all our clients benefit from 24/7 365 days a year callout agreement. This allows our clients to have complete peace of mind that whenever an issue arises, we have engineers on hand day and night to attend to the problem.

Life Safety System Installation

Sheriff Group offers a complete installation package. This gives our clients the opportunity to deal with the same team from the first stage of a project through to completion and handover. Our experienced team can design and install all life safety to meet the requirements of the FRA, but also give our clients the opportunity to choose different solutions to meet their budgets.

Sheriff Group will carry out all installation from containment to cabling and commissioning. With installations, there are regulatory regulations such as BS5839 and BS7671 Electrical regulations that are required to be met to allow all completed paperwork and certification to be issued. Sheriff Group will make sure all paperwork is up to this standard.

Can you provide maintenance of our fire alarm system?
Answer: Sheriff Group can carry out maintenance on all fire systems, therefore the simple answer is yes, we can.
Can you provide Monitoring of our fire alarm system?

Answer: The simple answer is yes, we work closely with Southern monitoring and EMCS. These are our alarm receiving centres of choice.

Can you provide an emergency callout?
Answer: We offer 24/7 365 days a year callout to contractual clients, we also offer proforma callouts to non-contractual clients.
How often should I book an inspection?
Answer: Depending on your Fire Risk assessment the schedule of inspection can range from quarterly to 6 monthly. Under BS5839 the required minimum is twice per year. Other factors that may affect the frequency of inspections are the total number of devices, the size of the site and any access issues within the building such as secure/restricted areas.
What areas do you cover?
Answer: Sheriff Group cover Essex, Kent, Suffolk, East of England, Southeast, and London. Sheriff Group does have some national clients, so even if you are not in the area above, please don’t hesitate to contact us as we will still be able to help.
What qualifications of our engineers have?
Answer: All our engineers are highly trained and skilled. All our engineers are continuously updating their skills via additional training courses with manufacturers and FIA training courses.
What level of fire cover do I need?
Answer: a. This would be determined by an FRA (Fire Risk Assessment). This FRA will inform you of the category of fire alarm along with any other fire production products required. Such as fire stopping and fire doors. If you require an FRA to determine this, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
